About RebuttalBase

This is a passion project. Built for the love of good arguments, clear thinking, and honest discourse.

Why this exists

Arguments are everywhere — in courtrooms, classrooms, policy debates, online forums, dinner tables. But most of us were never taught how to actually structure one. We wing it, rely on instinct, and hope our reasoning holds up under scrutiny.

RebuttalBase started as a simple question: what if there was a workspace specifically designed for building arguments? Not a note-taking app. Not a debate timer. A place where you can lay out your claims, trace your reasoning, find the gaps, and stress-test your thinking before someone else does.

What it's for

Learning

Understand the structure of arguments by building them visually on an interactive canvas.

Studying

Collect sources, organize evidence, and see how it all connects to your claims.

Getting better

Identify weaknesses in your own reasoning before your opponent does.

Having fun

Because there's something deeply satisfying about a well-constructed argument.

Who it's for

Anyone who cares about thinking clearly. Debate students, lawyers, policy wonks, philosophers, journalists, academics, or just curious people who want to understand why they believe what they believe.

Built in the open

This isn't a corporate product with a roadmap dictated by investor returns. It's a tool built by someone who wanted it to exist. Every feature is shaped by real use and real feedback.

Help make it better

If you're a serious debater, a logic nerd, a trial lawyer, a philosophy student, or just someone who argues passionately about things that matter — your feedback is invaluable.

This tool gets better when the people who actually build arguments for a living (or for fun) tell us what's missing, what's broken, and what would make their workflow smoother.

Share your thoughts

Every piece of feedback — from “this button is in the wrong place” to “you're missing an entire argument framework” — helps shape what this becomes.
